I am a mother of a child with severe special educational and medical needs. I have spent many years working with families and have successfully mastered the intricacies of Special Education laws and regulations.
I also have a background as a Paralegal specializing in Family Law. This expertise enables me to interpret parts of the law that families are usually not able to understand.
I am trained by SPAN NJ (Statewide Parent Advocacy Network) as a Resource Parent, am a member of COPAA (Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates), and am involved in local educational organizations. I have over 12 years of training researching the law (both at the state and federal levels), in addition to many years of experience navigating the educational system to achieve the goals and receive the services needed for my clients.
I have served on many Boards of Directors for not-for-profit organizations, which include parental support, organizations for exceptional children and youth sports leagues. During this time I worked with families from all levels and enjoys working with children.
